Southeast Asia has been experiencing a tremendous technology boom, and a large part of that growth can be attributed to the massive adoption of technology in the education sectors of those countries. With the development of higher education closely tied to the political, economic and social development in the individual countries that make up the Southeast Asia region, lawmakers, regulators and educators recognize the need for the influx of technology into the education space to help accelerate that growth.

To promote the Digital Education Show Asia 2014 in Kuala Lumpur on 27-28 May, organizers Terrapin has put together an interesting e-book (which you can download for free) that highlights 14 higher education tech leaders that have been influential in building the education landscape in Southeast Asia. The e-book shines the spotlight of some of these industry stalwarts, such as Assistant Vice Chancellor and Vice President at the Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) Hajah Anis Faudzulani Dzulkiflee, Director of the IT Centre from the University of Malaya, Dr. David Asirvatham, and Kai Cheong Lau, CIO of Singapore Management University, who have been working behind the scenes to leverage technology for education.

If you’re in the technology and education space, you’d do well to know who these people are.
